Timeless Learning: Montessori Classic Toys Set for Children. This set will kick start your Montessori toy journey with all the classic toys your baby needs in their first year of life. The set includes toys that are suitable from 6 months and some loved well into their second year.

The Classic Toys set includes:

Montessori Spinning Drum

The Montessori Spinning Drum toy will allow your baby to practice fine motor skills and coordination by pulling down with either one or both hands. Your baby is rewarded with the beautiful sight of spinning colours and the encouraging sound of a ringing bell inside the drum. The mirror panel will give your little one an insight into light reflection. Your baby will love gripping, spinning, and learning about cause and effect. The spinning drum is a perfect first learning toy.

This beautiful Montessori wooden toy is a great addition to any family looking to start their Montessori material journey. The drum can be used either sitting up or many babies’ favourite during tummy time.

The colourful panels are coated with non-toxic water-based paints and the woods are sustainably sourced.

Suitable from 6 months

Montessori Object Permanence Ball Drop

Montessori Ball Drop is a beautifully designed wooden toy which helps the baby learn the concept of object permanence (that something can still be there even when you cant see it!) The toy also allows your little one to practice their gross motor skills. Using their concentration and fine motor skills, your little one guides the ball to the hole at the top and the ball disappears. Watch as they perform this same task over and over again until they master this skill.

Suitable from 9 months old.

Montessori Object Permanence Coin Box

Work on fine motor skill development skills whilst building on baby's understanding of object permanence (that something can still be there even when you cant see it!). This is the second stage in the object permanence collection.

This wooden toy box with coins is ideal for babies developing coordination of movement, hand dexterity, and fine motor and concentration skills.

Permanence boxes are suitable for both babies and toddlers, it's an excellent educational Montessori wooden material. These object permanence toys allow your children to apprehend what is not in their visual field. Your baby will discover that the non-visibility of the object is not permanent while having lots of fun!

Suitable from 12 months old.

Montessori Single Shape Puzzles

An introduction to problem solving through the use of fine motor skills.

These hand-crafted geometric Montessori puzzles are great for developing your child’s motor skill abilities as they use their fine finger muscles but also lay the foundation for early numeracy and literacy skills

Once you believe your young one is ready to start learning, begin introducing Montessori toys that encourage grasping and the pincer grip, like the single shape puzzles. We recommend starting around 9 months. Introduce the puzzles gradually and on their own, after each puzzle is overcome move to the next. Start with the circle as it is the simplest to place in. Then the square and lastly the triangle, which needs the most control and skill to put in.

The shapes are coated with non-toxic water-based paints and the woods are sustainably sourced.

Suitable from 9 months old.

Montessori Pincer Grasping Puzzle

Excellent for developing fine motor skills and practising the pincer grasp. This Montessori material is ideal to start around 9 months when you begin to notice the child trying hard to grasp objects with the thumb and forefinger. Babies love to practice this grasp, and this toy is perfect for helping them perfect and master it.

Suitable from 12 months
